I've made several live edge scripture plaques using branches from a walnut tree. Here are two examples.
The Micah 6:8 is single sided.
The John 15:5 and Philippians 4:13 are on the front and back of the same piece contrasting the idea of life with and without Christ.
Typically I finish them with Danish oil.
