Sketch Carve, Photo Carve, Both

Post by Luvtocarve »

Don't know if anyone has tried this yet but I really liked the results. I was comparing some sketch carve and photo carve toolpaths on the same photo to see what the difference might be in the preview. In the process of doing so, I accidently ran both toolpaths at the same time. The result was actually pretty cool. I know it will add carve time to the project but the detail it produced was very nice.

Thanks for sharing your discovery! A “happy accident” worthy of further experimentation - very “artsy”!

Interesting results. May I ask what bits you used? Thanks

Thanks for sharing... this is a great example of how different the two toolpath results are, and then, when combined, they really suit each other!

We took a bit of time in-house to try this, and Beki also got some very nice results!
