Do you use a Diode Laser module mounted in your Shapeoko or another CNC setup?

Which module?

What exposure settings do you use?

Yep, I use a J-Tech 4.2W spindle mounted laser. Even with that there was a tiny offset between a cutting bit and where the laser burned. I developed a special post processor for laser tool paths only that included g-code to correct that tiny offset so I perfect registration. I go directly from v-carving to laser without moving the workpiece of resetting xy zero. Again the post processor handles the small offset.

I licensed the Vectric Laser Module; it's not perfect but it's pretty good. If Vectric has one more variable available I could do it all in one post processor but that's not possible today.

My Laser Settings:
- 100% power at 1000mm/min
- No Z movement allowed
- Hatch Fill (with 45 degree crosshatch and outline)
- Stepover either 0.0075" or 0.008" (beam is 0.0075" diameter)

I hadn't seen that module before. Pretty good if you're got the clearance!

Thanks for the details. Good solution on the PP changes.
