It works in whatever units you've created the job in.

From memory that gadget doesn't like you using imperial tools in a metric job though.

Job Setup change Units from inches to mm then click okay.

Then use Box Creator Gadget with metric numbers.

Well, that wasn't particularly intuitive in the software, but thank you.

The job setup in in metric but the sizing in the Gadget appeared to be in inches (i.e. 24 x 16 x 14), so I guess I made an assumption.

Maybe because it's Sunday morning...

It displays whatever the last used values were. If you're using it for the first time those numbers are the default. Most users are American.

Assumptions can be problematic in their own nature. It never hurts to try first before having to make an assumption/conclusion.
