Re: TURNED PROFILE GADGET
Consider using the moulding toolpath instead of a gadget.

Re: Turned profile gadget
Create a rotary project, 26 inches long with a diameter of 4 inches.
Press <F12> to go to the toolpaths section.
Click on the moulding toolpath icon With the drive rail already selected do a <Shift>Click to select the baluster profile. It should look like this: Click Calculate.
Click Preview All Toolpaths
Create a vector that starts and 0,0 and ends at 0,12.5664, i.e the circumference of the blank. This will be the drive rail for the moulding toolpath.
On the Clipart tab select Rotary Profiles and drag Baluster_1 onto your project.
Click on the drive rail created in step two. This selects it. (It should be pink if selected).Press <F12> to go to the toolpaths section.
Click on the moulding toolpath icon With the drive rail already selected do a <Shift>Click to select the baluster profile. It should look like this: Click Calculate.
Click Preview All Toolpaths

Randall,
I have never run a rotary project on my cnc yet. I'm setting up the vcarve file right now as in your steps above. When I go to save the toolpath I'm assuming I should be using the Next Wave-Rotary Along X - Wrap Y inch and not the Next Wave CNC inch post processor? Or does it know to use the rotary post processor as the job was setup as a rotary?

Yes, you must use a rotary post-processor.I'm assuming I should be using the Next Wave-Rotary Along X - Wrap Y inch and not the Next Wave CNC inch post processor?
I've defined two different machines in VCarve. One for flat work, and the other machine for rotary work. I set up the rotary machine to use the wrapped post processor by default.Or does it know to use the rotary post processor as the job was setup as a rotary?
