Hi all,
Does anyone know whether it is possible to force the direction of a t-bone in the Dogbone Gadget ? The gadget works fine, but sometimes I want to have the t-bone at a specific side of an inner corner. For example, if the t-bone is in a certain direction the joint will potentially leak. Obviously, the 'classic' dogbone does not have that issue as its position is symmetric to the inner corner.

IIRC, the dogbone gadget was created before this feature was included in the software.
Did you give a try to the create fillet feature?

When I need to force the direction of the dogbone, I zoom in real close to the intersection and click on the side I want. Be sure to remove the existing dogbone first by clicking on it.

Two comments in the gadget source code are of interest:
It does indeed apply the fillet to the longest of the two edges in a corner. And there is no option to alter that,

You hero of a source code detective - smart thinking ! It actually makes soooo much sense - from a construction perspective at least. This makes for the strongest parts. T-bones on the smaller sides - in most cases the sides perpendicular to the sides of an object (as I did draw them) can break off easier - in theory.

I tried your suggestion but dit not get the results I wanted / needed. Anyway, when I need to force a t-bone I know now that I better make them in advance in my design software (as long as I know what bit I'm using that will work nicely ...).
