This is my first post and just getting started in my CNC journey. I am sure this is more me not understanding the gadget then anything else. I am trying to make some drawers (7) and they are all the same size. We (person I am helping) are trying to do this all out of 1X8X3/4 dimension lumber. The gadget maker puts all the parts horizontally and if I try and move them vertically or two another sheet I get an error(s).
1. When I try to recalculate the toolpath(s), I get an error on toolpath(s). Most of these errors are occurring on the clearing toolpath. I watched Sharkcuts video on this Gadget and he made mention that you could just not have a bit in clearing and I thought maybe that would make it work. Screenshot one is with and without a tool in default setup.
2. If I try to click on clearing toolpaths and some of the other toolpaths to edit I get an "Unable to load toolpath" and it is telling me toolpath is invalid. Screenshot two is with and without a tool in default setup.
I'm sure this gadget was meant to build drawers on plywood, but any chance I can use it on dimension lumber?

Re: Easy Drawer Maker Ver 5.5
Why don't you use the Easy Drawer Maker Gadget from Jimandi Gadgets at jimandi.com
Okay so that is the latest Version ---- hhhhhhmmmmm!
All Easy Gadgets are default to just create Vectors if you do not assign tools to use for toolpathing.

hi Don,
Sorry to hear you are have an issue. Send me the drawing with the error to Jim@jimandi.com and let me have a look.
Just one note: The clearing toolpath bit must be larger than the bit used for the finishing toolpath.
Jim
Thanks,
Jim

From the Op's Dimensions I have it fairly close and with toolpaths.
I believe it may be the Op may not totally understand how the gadget functions. Ex: use of correct tooling for certain Drawer features.

Jim
I just tired it again and was able to move pieces vertically on board like I wanted (on home computer). Still couldn't get them to move to another sheet and work.
I will go down to shop computer and take a look at the file and send it to you when I get a chance (back to work Monday). Probably going to be a few days.
Sharkcut - I assume when you say "OP" you mean operator. You probably hit the nail on the head. I did say I was new at this and trying to learn.
Thank god for experience people like you and Jim to help us through our troubles.
