I realized I had to reboot the software
I do lots whirly and turning things. Why didn’t I see the gear gadget sooner. Shame on me

Finally got aboard the “Gadget train” wow what I have been missing. First attempt to load a Gadget didn’t go so well until
I realized I had to reboot the software

All Jim's gadget are now located on their own separate download page: here.
If by "when I go to gadgets" you mean the "Gadgets -> User Submissions" sub-forum then scroll down to the bottom and change the display to "All Topics" from whatever setting you have now:
