Making Your First VCarved Inlay with Todd & Mark Lindsay CNC

Have you ever considered including a v-carve inlay in your project, but didn't know where to start? In this project Mark Lindsay, from Mark Lindsay CNC, does exactly that... creates his very first v-carve inlay and shares the process of creating it with you. Join Mark and Todd while they take you on a journey sharing a new perspective on creating inlays, detailing all their tips, tricks, help and advice along the way.

There is so much to share and learn in the video that accompanies this project from the lessons learned along the way to using it in an actual project Mark never intended it to be used for.

We want to thank Mark for taking part in this project. We hope you are still making stuff and having fun, but most importantly keeping safe! Todd & Mark

User Top Tips

"When gluing use a hydraulic press to mate the inlays, this gives you much even pressure across the inlay, which allows for a much better result than using standard clamps" Andy Johnson, Two Acre WoodWorks

Roman Baths Sign | Design&Make

Taking time out for yourself has never been more important than it is now. This hack of the week was inspired by the Roman Baths and is easily customized with a bit of v-carving. Add a fun phrase like "My Time, Bath Time" or simply "Keep Out, Mom's Busy" and hang it on the outside of the bathroom door. Maybe even use it to add a bit of Roman decor to your poolside sauna or as a new house number sign.

What our customers have to say:
"At this point, I cannot overstate how astounded I am every time I use the Aspire software. I use a lot of geospatial and graphics software in my work (I teach GIS at the university), and I find Aspire to be simply amazing; the designers have thought of just about everything…and it keeps getting better with every new release. Further, the personal attention that I have received from you and other technical support team members is unparalleled." Scott E. Winslow - California State University, Long Beach
