In the Labs – Arcade Game FREE PROJECT

Here at Vectric we love to make stuff and in this month’s “In The Labs” project we step back into the 80s golden age of gaming to show you how to make your own amazing arcade cabinet as a quick and easy slot-together project to make on your CNC!

Originally the brainchild of ShopBot’s Bill Young who’s kindly let us share his files, Beki shows you how she used VCarve to harness the clever snap-joint and hook design with the springiness of plywood to give you a second fun project to create and assemble with no hardware required. Beki’s design has an extra panel to hideaway electronics circuitry and more inlays to house wrap-around branding; perfect for any point-of-sale display or launch event.

Why not adapt the files to suit your own setup and use the handy sheets functionality with all the components super organized, then easily switch between multiple sheets to have full visibility of what's going on during the design and cutting process. Our arcade game featured new Vectric branding and Victor 8-bit game launched at Makers Central show, so have a go at adding your own electronics, acrylic inlays, stencil art or graffiti and create your own ‘80s gaming zone for your bar, summer house, a father’s day gift or some cool retro ideas for your Etsy shop.
