To Michael Tyler
Michael, I have been telling my wife for months that I was going to make the "Bookpile Box". Well I got around to making it. It was a challenge in some respects, but what I took away from the project is that you are a "genius" to come up with the ideas for those tool paths. Thank you. Mine turned out pretty well. I have made many of your other projects, thanks for those too.

In my mind you are not only a genius but a major source of inspiration to me and to many others. If not for you, I would not have progressed as far I have. Thanks for always being there.

Tagguy, Michael, excellent work on your Bookpile. I finally got one made last Fall. I know your wife loved yours. I agree, Michael Tyler is a genius in my eyes and I always look forward to seeing what his latest creation is, even if it takes me months or years to finally get around to trying one after it is provided. II learn a lot from everyone here on the forums and appreciate all the sharing and insight provided.

Bookpile Box Michael Tyler
Hopefully someone can help me out. I seen the video of the bookpile and would love to make one. They say there are no dumb questions, but I'm about to prove that theory wrong! I've included a screen shot. On the tool path it shows 2 differant tools. I realize one is for clearing larger areas, but when I run this tool path which bit do I use. the tapered ball nose or the down cut bit?

Re: Bookpile Box Michael Tyler
When you click on create toolpath the program will create 2 toolpaths for this moulding: one labelled [clear] and one not but with the same base name. The [clear] is the one you'd use for the end mil. The "not clear" one is the one you'd use for the tbn.
It looks like Michael later renamed the "not clear" one to have the bit title in the name. The two checked items in the image below are the two toolpaths created from this one moulding path.
