You may want to play with the "use selected vectors as pattern" option in the texture toolpath. You can get some really cool affects.
For example this texture applied to the inside of a bowl:
To get this start with a vector starting at the center of the object you want to texture.
Use the circular array to rotate it 20 degrees. (make sure the vector and circle use the same center)
then create similar vectors to fill in between.
And test a small texture toolpath using the option to see what it looks like.
When you are happy use the circular array to put, say, 30 copies in the 360 degree area.
