Slower G28 Speed?

Post by jkunda »

I am using Vcarve pro with Gsender. Is there a way to slow the feed rate when the machine is finished with the toolpath and returning home? Mine seems to travel at about 158. in/min. I'd like to slow that down a bit. I would also like to slow the rapid moves the machine makes during a toolpath as it travels longer distances across the workpiece. An example of this would be when the machine is done cutting one vector and moves to the next vector, say, on the other side of the piece.

VCarve’s speeds are: how fast it moves while engaged in a cut and how fast it moves when plunging/ramping. Anything else it the domain of your machine’s controller / control software.

If there is a specfic G or M code that your machine uses you can inject that into the header or footer section of the post-processor,

Reducing the rapid speed settings in your control software will do both.
