Person in So Cal needed to troubleshoot SB3 software

Post by New2allthis »

We will pay some1 to come to our shop in Riverside Ca. and take a look at out Shop Bot 3 softwatre/cnc machine.

Were getting a input 4 warning that is the emergency stop switch and cant clear it. We have tried the " VN " command and opened and closed the switch several times.

I can provide pictures and or video of the issue but since weve never had this machine running a person local that come check it out is also an option.

We are more than willing to pay someone to come by and help us out.

Any help in any form would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

Sounds like a wiring issue more than a software issue to me.

I had a limit sensor fail on my machine which did pretty much the same as you're seeing.

Try unplugging the limit sensors and see if that works. You can then plug them back in one at a time until you find the faulty one. Might not be a sensor but, as I say, it sounds very much like hardware rather than software.

Thank you, we will try that and see what we find. As all this is new to us not sure how exactly to do that but I think we can figure it out somehow :o Thanks again.

I hope that works but were still looking for some1 with some hands on exp to help us get it cutting ASAP.

If you have not called ShopBot support at 1-888-680-4466 that would be a good starting place.

They are very good at walking people through troubleshooting procedures.
