more confusion
I did not change any parameter consciously as I hoped that would be the closest to the original file. Your observation is a good one, though. But why would one start at 0.1" already ? Did I miss a pocket or what ?

I don't know why the OP has a 0.1" start depth but it is intentional as he mentions it in the first post.

Re: Second Time File Dives Deeper
I read that part differently. I thought he meant that the depth of the first (good) job was about 0.1" and that the OP was happy with that. And the second job derailed with a 0.6 depth. As there was no start depth in the .CRV (at least I missed that) I did not consider that.

Yep, can certainly be read more than one way for sure. Even if the 0.1" start depth is accidental or a misunderstanding of how cut depths work in a v-carve toolpath I can't see how it relates to the 0.6" cut on the 2nd run of the file. It's an odd one.

Re: Second Time File Dives Deeper
When I opened the .CRV of the OP and created a new toolpath while keeping the old toolpath intact and saved those I got:
V-Carve 1_1-V-Carve 1
and
V-Carve 1_2-V-Carve 2
That's frighteningly confusingly identical. So two questions to our friend CA Glue:
- do you have 2 files with almost identical names on your PC / drive ?
- does your CNC have a log from where you can see which files are executed ?
