Most 3018 machines come with GRBL control software.

Vectric has two GRBL post processors.
Use the mm one if you set up your machine in metric.
Use the inch one if you set up your machine in imperial.

You can create your VCarve projects in metric or imperial and the post processor will handle the conversion for the machine.

If you are looking for software to send the gcode to your CNC, I would recommend either UGS or gSender.

You also can OpenBuilds CONTROL - Machine Interface Controller https://software.openbuilds.com/

don't forget to use open builds post Prosser from the data base

VCarve comes with a program called VTransfer which can be used to send the GCode to a GRBL type machine and do jogging etc.

If your cnc machine has a forum then you might be best asking that question on their forum as all the users will be using the same machine. Vectric software can be used with many different types of machine & control software so there may not be so many people using the same set up you are.
I know nothing about grbl based machines but if the control software for them has a trial version you might be best downloading some & trying them out yourself
