Laser Crosshair on CNC Complete How To For Under $40

Post by MAXJ »

Hi Guys,

I need to upskill myself from Mach3 to Mach4, and during my search for information came across this video https://youtu.be/8m_K9WfCiEY

Has anybody done this modification in Mach4?

Regards

Max

Checkout my post viewtopic.php?p=249661#p249661 I bought a bullet laser they use to sight in a rifle and 3D printed a sleeve to fit into a 1/2 collet. Cost $8.00. I use it constantly and it works perfectly.

Do you know of any that don't need insert/removal of batteries to power on/off? A .223 would fit a 1/4 chuck nicely.

Not meaning to brag (well maybe just a little) but my machine came with a laser cross hairs option. A button click on the screen to turn it on, align the cross hairs to the prescribed marks on the table or rotary and click on the "Laser XY" button on the screen. The offsets are edited in a txt macro file.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your reply.

Did you guys create a new button on your MACH4 screen to do the Zeroing as shown by Howard?

Cheers

Saw one on Amazon, but it was $16.00, twice what I paid and they do require batteries. I just unscrew the cap slightly to turn it off and leave it in a collet so I don't lose any of the batteries.

I simply just put in my spindle mount laser if I needed that accuracy ..... problem solved
