On third project machine came to a sudden stop. Turned machine off and back on due to spindle not reacting to commands. Pressed home all and everything was returning home when Y Axis would not disengage at home position. Tried resetting to factory defaults now Y Axis will not disengage at home position and X Axis will only travel one third of the way across gantry.
Controller shows code of AY Axis SOFF but I cannot find how to change to On.
I have checked electrical connections and all look fine.

Re: New and need help
Quit all software. Turn the machine off. Turn the computer off. Wait a couple of minutes. Turn everything back on. If that does not work then, most likely, there is a machine problem.

Do you have limit switches or proximity switches at the home position...if so, initiating a move to home position should reset the X and Y axes to zero...if you don't have switches, you'll have to manually (arrow keys) move to the X And Y zero locations then reset the zeros manually.
In either case, once that's done, you should be ready to go.
