Our Dundee Men's Shed CNC has developed a fault in the control box I think.
Does anybody know of a firm that could repair it. Bionica Systems who put it in has gone bust.
Mach 3 is fine and movement with the keyboard is OK..

Re: mach 3 control box
So what is the problem if it is working fine from the keyboard? Sorry can't help with a Company that may be able to help
Re: mach 3 control box
Well sometimes the keys work. We have a member who fiddles about with the inside. Sometimes the page up key brings the Z axis down and the page down it goes up. It must be something to do with the boards inside. At the moment he has a lead from the USB going into the box whose lid is open. That is why we need an expert to have a look. Tried emailing Dundee University but no reply.

Just to add to what rig gap has said I would also try a different USB lead as well, eliminate the easy stuff first

Not 100% sure what you mean by at the moment he has a USB lead going into the box, how is the box normally connected to the computer? Has he made any changes to the mach3 settings ? is it happening on all 3 axis or just the one?keclayton wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 2:21 pmWell sometimes the keys work. Have you tried uninstalling mach3 & then reinstalling it ? It is possible that mach3 has become corrupt, I have seen that happen before which caused odd behaviour with axis movement. If you are going to uninstall mach3 make sure you copy & save the machine profiles to a safe place first
