New cnc.

Hi, I have a mate who would like to buy a desktop cnc machine approx 12”x8”. He has a budget of around £500. He wants it to make small Motorbike parts In aluminium. We are based in UK. Any suggestions please. Thanks in advance.

My suggestion would be to keep saving until he can spend at least 5x what he has now. And even then his budget will be on the low side.

Save up enough to buy a little cnc milling machine, or convert a milling machine to cnc. That would be far superior for cutting aluminum. Otherwise you will need to buy a very solid CNC router, and expect to spend around $10k.
