Inlay Tip

Post by Aussie »

Though I would pass on my tip.
Everyone talks about bits and depth of cut etc.
I was working on a very detailed inlay yesterday, when cleaning up the both the male and female v carves pay special attention to cleaning out material left behind from the cutters.
The inlay will never fit without spending the time on clean up, yesterday was over 2 hours to get it done.
It’s like sanding if you want a good finish it has to be done.

100% correct on the tip Ron

It's all the small things that make all the difference.
I think we are excited to see the final result and want
to get there fast, only to be disappointed.
