polylines vectric toolpath issue

Post by jvcc »

Hi, im new and i cant seem to get this toolpath to work. instead of tracing a bitmap, i used the polylines vectric tool to create this design. When i calculated the toolpath, only the outline was pathed, not the interior. ive checked for open vectors and changed starting points but to no avail. Any ideas? thanks

Did you perhaps use the profile toolpath instead of the pocket toolpath? Profile will run on, or on either side of the vector, depending on how you set it up. Pocket will carve the interior (at the depth you specify) from the inside of the vector.

My guess would be the diameter of the cutter is greater than the slots' widths.

Great that you made your own vectors!!!
Do you want a v-carve or pocket?
