I have made a step-by-step tutorial all about how to turn satellite imagery into a carving of your favorite mountains, valleys, or other terrain features. I go into some detail about the important choices to make in designing the toolpaths and other things that will improve the outcome. I have a written version, on Instructables, and for those who prefer videos, a YouTube tutorial. Both of those have a place for you to post comments, suggestions, or questions, so please do that!

Re: Carving terrain - New detailed tutorial!
Thank you for the great video! And thanks even more for the link to TouchTerrain. I was able to generate a map of my area and create toolpaths in about 5 minutes. I have Aspire, so was able to skip the PrusaSlicer step. Also picked up a few ideas and tricks in your video. Great work!
