Best Vector Method

Post by Steve A »

I have this 3D Celtic Sun Cross and I am wondering what method of adding vectors might be for Vcarve 11.

I want to cut the outer profile and then make the 4 cutouts between the inner circle of the ring and the cross.

I tried to create two circle on the edges of the ring and then traced the outer part of the cross and the inside of the 4 open spaces. I overlapped the vectors and used the trim and join but I still get open vectors.

Select the component (cross) click on the modeling tab at the top of the screen & about 3/4 way down the drop down menu is " Create boundary Vector for selected components, that will automatically draw the vectors you want

Thank you Sir,

I knew I had seen something like that but in the 3 hours of video I have watched this evening I could not find it. :D
