Hidding Mounting Points

Post by highpockets »

Thought I'd share how I sometimes hide mounting bolts while enhancing the project.
Take the gun rack I made for my deer camp. The deer and wagon wheels hide the mounting screws. I counter sunk the mounting screws the depth of small round magnets and glued the magnets onto the back of the deer and wagon wheels. The wagon wheels can spin around and it doesn't matter, but I didn't want the deer spinning around, that would look strange. I glued a small pin to one side of the magnet and a offset to the counter sink.
