I'm making a bowl for my niece. I had a V3M file and set it up
with Design & Make Machinists.
As you can see in the photo I'm leaving roughing cut marks.
I have adjusted machine allowance, tool size, tool step over,
and ball or square end milling bits to no avail.
Using Vcarve Pro
Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks for any help!

Re: Bowl Engraving Marks
Why D&M Machinist rather than directly in VCarve?
Re: Bowl Engraving Marks
Just the way I done it way back when.
Not sure why it would make a difference, but????
I'll try just importing original file in VCP
and see what happens.

Re: Bowl Engraving Marks
Change your modeling resolution (in Job Setup) to the highest level (X7, at a minimum.... otherwise create a new project while holding down the shift key, and that will "unlock" higher resolution settings (Extremely High and Maximum). Also, change your preview simulation quality (Toolpaths > Preview Simulation Quality) to a higher setting.

Re: Bowl Engraving Marks
The resolution is high enough that I can see the marks.
I'm trying to get rid of them.
Thanks for the replies
