Bit parameters

Post by Alwaysintheknow »

I can't get the seller to respond to my question regard this bit....specifically the tooth size and tooth offset. Any guesses?

USA made with the sellers address being in China?

Personally I'd send it back and buy from a proper tool supplier that supports their products.

I bought a similar cutter several years ago. Not much in the way of "specs" on that one either.

You can roughly estimate the diameter of the tool by comparing it to the shank diameter. Same goes for tooth width.

With these type of cutters you would need to measure them before using anyhow. They are not made to tight tolerances since there is no real reason for that. What is important is the angle.

Edit: BTW, not sure what you are asking for after reading your post again. The description states it is 3/4 dia and the tooth width is 1/4 inch. What do you mean by tooth offset?

A rough guess would Probably be 16 teeth at .1463" apart

The image is not necessarily representative of the particular cutter in question: https://www.supertoolinc.com/products2. ... er54&nav=1 and in particular: https://www.supertoolinc.com/pop_produc ... ?id=115318

Tooth offset == tooth spacing?

You guys are amazing and I appreciate the advice. I'm creating the geometry in the tool database and I'm asked the tooth size and a tooth offset everything else I have. The bit has 10 teeth. Once again thanks.

Here is some additional Information that may helpful. Some settings in the tool Database are related to each other thereby which if one is changed it affects the others. Reference the Highlights.
