I made the Christmas Countdown Project yesterday. Material used was scrap from an old teak table. The pen stand was from a deck plank that I had in the shop, it is also teak, but darker and really hard.
I just painted the snow on the roof, the reindeers nose and scarf, when that was dried I oiled the rest with some IKEA mineral oil.
It tuned out really good.
