What Time is it?

Post by wood_fly »

This is from a Wood Mag plan - but rather than turn, I just used the CNC machine. Translating the spindle dimensions for rotary was easier than I thought. Love the visible gears in the clock movement. I know: in this crowd I should learn to make my own gears...working on upgrading my skills guys - I'll get there <g>

I forgot to mention the inspiration for the visible gears in the clock. This was a present for my kid who just graduated from Purdue (Go Boilermakers!) with degrees in network engineering and security - I will NEVER have to worry about my internet - but I digress.

My kid was lucky enough to land a job right out of college about 90 minutes away and works tech support. I made the clock so that while on a support call, and the client asks a question with the equivalent level of "What time is it?" it reminds him to NOT BUILD A WATCH - just tell the client what time it is <g> (A little continuing fatherly advice).
