1930's Firetruck

Post by garylmast »

I came across a picture of a 1932 Firetruck, so from that picture and several other 1930 era firetrucks I modeled this using both Aspire and Rhino. Size is 20" long x 8 wide. I took some red tint and put it into so clear varnish and sprayed it on to get the Red color but to still show it was made out of wood.

Very well done. Did you make all of the parts via CNC?

The front horns, the side valves, the axe and the hood ornaments were 3D printed because of the small sizes. Everything else was done on the CNC.

That is Awesome! My granddaughter would love that! I am working on turning her favorite Christmas ornament into a puzzle for her right now, the trucks look similar to me.
Nice work!

Great job on that Gary!! :)
Reminds me of quite a few I've seen over the years that get brought out for Memorial Day parades.
(quite a few old enough to use a lot of wood in them:)
Well done!!
I've learned my lesson well. You can't please everyone,so you have to please yourself
