A Cutting Board

Post by TReischl »

CB 1.jpg
Maple and walnut. About an inch and a half thick.

This one started out entirely differently. It was going to be an inlay within an inlay. That did not work out which I discussed in another post. Soooo, I milled off the other one making this one a bit thinner. I added a center foot underneath after the thinning. The image comes from a Dover clipart collection, bitmap. I drew the vectors manually since I am never happy with any auto trace program.

We will use this cutting board so the finish is just mineral oil. We do our own sushi around here quite often so that is why it has a samurai. I was thinking about adding "Ahh, sooo! Who cut the cheese?" but that got vetoed, LOL.
