Beki's Snowman

Post by rtibbs »

Looking at Beki's Snowman in profile I thought he was a little malnourished
I Decided to feed mine a few donuts to fatten him up.
Instead of the 1.8 inch thick workpiece I went with 3.25 inches on mine and increased the model height by 200%.This gave me a body thickness of 2.8 inches as opposed to the 1.4 inch on the original. Still not completely round but that's about my limit on the Z height of my machine. Guess I could have cut two halves and glued them together if I really want to obtain it completely round. (I know I could also reduce the width)
Mama says I should paint it but, it goes against my grain (pun intended) to paint a nice piece of wood

Anyway, thanks Beki for a really cute design.

Hi Ron,
You don’t have to hide anything under color. Good work and beautiful wood speak for themselves ( the sign is also great).
Merry Christmas
Eckart
