Re: 2021 User Group Meeting - San Diego
From what I understand, we just max out the capacity of the venue. Vectric has to find places that hold the entire capacity at once for the lectures.MikeSibley wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 3:10 pmI stand corrected. Since I am new, I just didn't understand. For my professional conferences they are always revenue generating events for the organizers/hosts and they will always expand the event as the revenue increases because more attendees means more revenue. I didn't realize that there is a cap on this one. I will go ahead and register for safety sake.

Re: 2021 User Group Meeting - San Diego
Technically hat would make business sense. But I would miss the smaller venue where people who have been just forum names can meet and chat. I don't think that is possible in a large "conference" environment. For that purpose (lectures) I am happy with the virtual meeting. While the smaller events can not accommodate everybody, they will surely attract the core users who commit early.

Hey everyone!

We're constantly monitoring the situation regarding our September User Group Meeting and we will certainly let you know in advance if there are any changes to our planned event.
At this time, we are remaining positive and keeping our fingers crossed that we'll able to see you all again later this year

I'm certainly looking forward to it. I was seriously disappointed that the 2020 meeting was cancelled.
Fingers crossed for 2021!

Make sure to verify your hotel reservation. I had cancelled my 2020 reservation but hadn't remembered to book for 2021 until today.
I'm all set now. Looking forward to September!

Re: 2021 User Group Meeting - San Diego
Just wondering if we're going to continue WNC_Ed's idea of "unofficial" name tags like we did in Denver?
WNC_Ed wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 4:51 pmThinking about what Michael suggested here:
And knowing that the forum users are some very clever folk. I was wondering if it wouldn't be fun to have an unofficial, just for fun "contest" to make "the coolest" name tag on the CNC to be worn at the User Group Meeting?TIP: If you are a Forum Member, write your Forum Username boldly on your Name Tag. It’s a great way to “connect” with people you may know only by their username!
Now this will be my first User Group Meeting so maybe I am being bold in suggesting this but it does seem like it would be fun.
Suggested rules:
1) Name badge must be primarily made on the CNC using Aspire.
2) Badge must have your Forum "handle" and your real name - or - the alias you go by.
3) Must be worn at the Meeting
1st Prize - bragging rights on the forum for a year!
I have included a sample idea for inspiration. This one would be worn like a neckless

Re: 2021 User Group Meeting - San Diego
The countdown is on! Only 93 days until the 2021 User Group Meeting commences in sunny San Diego!
It's been WAY too long since we've been able to bring everyone together, the bar isn't going to know what hit it at the end of day 1!
We can't wait to see all of your funky CNC name badges - we're hoping to compete too if that's allowed?
You'll be pleased to hear we've put the last 12 months to good use to find the very best guest speakers and Vectric topics for this years event. With that in mind, we'll be revealing some of our exciting guest speakers and plans for the event over the next few months, so watch this space for updates.
FIRST UP and for the first time ever Mark Lindsay of Mark Lindsay CNC will be joining us at the conference to share his insights in to the software and answer your burning questions! Mark has been teaching how to use our software for over 3 years now and is an excellent source of all things Vectric.
If you're not familiar with Mark take a look at this incredible inlay project he created with Todd as part of our YouTube LIVE event back in February:

We can't wait for you to see what Mark has in store to share with you all in September

Doesn't that picture rather let the cat out of the bag? I mean, it hasn't been announced, but I think folks can now figure out what I'm going to be talking about...
