Walking Stick Instructions
Should you find any errors and/or omissions please post them.
It is a lot easier to make them than it is to tell how to make them.
These files do not contain clip art, it will be necessary to add your own to the attached files.
Have fun!

Thanks for the generous sharing of files. Don't have aspire 10... yet but will one of these days and the files will be handy.
Re: Walking Stick Instructions
Nice Work. Curious as to how long these take to cut?

Re: Walking Stick Instructions
I would allow about 5 hours for each half.
Only the carved part takes a lot of time.
The rounding and profile cuts only take a few minutes.
I usually cut several blanks at a time then do the carving later, usually evening or during the night.
The total material cost is about $10 including finish, hardware, wood, and shoe.
I only make them for gifts for people that need them and family reunion auctions.
Most folks that use a cane find they prefer the stick because they are easier to use, more stable than a cane. light weight, and they have something to lean on while standing.
I never travel without one.
These are too detailed for commercial production.

Thanks, Dave. Those are well written files. On the other hand, I'm not sure if my wife thanks you... This is edging me closer to buying a new 4th axis $$$..dhellew2 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 10:51 pmws variety 2.jpg
