Faux Wood Cabin Sign

Post by customquint »

Haven't posted anything in a while. This one was fun. Double sided HDU sign.
We did some mix media on this. The banner was printed on vinyl then applied to ACM and mounted to the sign. The Bee and Honey Pot is laser engraved plastic and mounted to the sign. Everything else is painted.

How do you cut the ACM? I would cut the outline from Signgrade acrylic [impact modified] on the laser- if printed on pvc-free film it could be applied and then contour cut quite easily/quickly. Nice sign BTW :D

We used an .1875 end mill to cut the ACM. We did the print on vinyl and added a matte laminate. The print had a 1/2" bleed on the shape. We aligned the print to the ACM and applied then trimmed the vinyl to the shape.
