Hello,
I use CNC and aspire to make rosettes and marquetry for my guitars. Here's the type of work that's done.
The inner piece is a wood medallion that's glued into the sound hole. a simple profile path with a 60 degree V-bit. The outer piece is routed with a pocket path then filled in with a colored rock and glue.
Here is another of similar style:

Nice work! Thanks for posting.
You might be interested in the Fret Board Maker gadget that handles radiusing and muti-scale fan-fret designs. It was written for V9.5 but it seems to work for V10.5 as well.

Re: Guitar Art
very interesting I'll check it out. How do I download and a gadget and install it into aspire? I can't seem to find where to download it. I've never used gadgets before so I need some help.

Re: Guitar Art
I like to use Aspire and Celtic knot designs to carve openings in salad bowl guitar tops. Take a look at this example: viewtopic.php?p=226886#p226886
If you don't want to reduce the sound hole area then enlarge the design somewhat and make the knots a bit thinner in width so the holes are larger. I have used my own creations of 3d carved chair cane weave models as sound holes also. Fun stuff to play with.
