Scott's Tiny influence is infectious :D

Maple and Osage Orange.

Was able to capture a very small knot in the eye. Been 48hrs and the Osage is surprisingly stable.

Nicely done!

Carving tiny stuff is a lot of fun. A most excellent place to use tiny cutoffs. A while back I make up a bunch of 1.5 inch diameter coins with a pirate head on the front and "I am the reason there is no rum" on the back. Been handing them out to friends.

Sorry I infected you Joe....I'm afraid there's no cure :) :)
You caught that knot perfectly! :)

You one-upped me on the multi-wood though! :)
Going crosseyed trying to figure out if that was a Maple blank inlayed into Osage and then cut as a whole, Or assembled afterwards?
Either way, You upped the bar!!
Love it!

Appreciate the compliments :D

Created a vector to separate the body from the fins and ran a profile toolpath in the maple and osage. Then glued up intarsia style. Pic is after planing to .3" thickness.
