New Inlay-project for a friend
A friend of mine is totally in love with Porsche cars, he and his father own one each.
So I decided to do a Porsche sign to give give him as a thank you.
Wood is beech with inlays in teak and palisander and a piece of ash.

Agree with Scott's description. Thank you for sharing.

That is simply AWESOME. I am going to get up the nerve to try an inlay project one of these days.

Re: New Inlay-project for a friend
Thank you all for the kind words, I really appreciate it.
If you want to make your own Porsche sign, I have attached my two files here.
I used the svg-logo from porsche.com and cleaned it up in Aspire to create the toolpaths.
All dimensions are in mm and I used a 10 mm 60 degree carving bit.

Wow that is spectacular and I love the inlay method of various timbers as opposed to the use of veneer, the durability will no doubt see many generations fighting over that one.

That is really cool. I haven't tried to do inlays yet but I want to soon. Great work:)
