Open book model with Amazing Grace
Had been wanting to try a project combining laser and cnc on a 3d surface, with the challenge of 2 separate machines. With the Amazing Grace music files so generously provided by people on this forum, I decided to try and put it on the open book model. This was made for a lady in our parish that is in charge of Liturgy/Music planning as a going away gift.
I think it went pretty well!

That is incredible. How did you keep the laser focused when going over the 3D carvng?

I agree with highpockets - Beautiful! Hope you don't mind me showing it to my wife as support for the addition of a laser in my shop.

Excellent. Did you project the music onto the model in Vectric and then save out the image to get the appearance of it following the uneven pages?

Thanks for all of the encouraging comments for this project.
I wanted to post the link to the original music that inspired me.
