Carved Oval Boxes - How to Make Them

Post by Fleming »

On a recent visit to a Viking museum I was enchanted with some carved Tine boxes so I decided to try and make some myself. Here are some I have recently completed and if you would like to make some I have enclosed in a compressed rar file a VCarve file with templates for 3 different sizes and a PDF explanation of the process. Enjoy.

Nice work!

But, but, but, I do not see the file you mentioned?

The floral pattern on the maple box is from Michael Tyler's Spring Wreath project - Thanks Michael!

It is included in a separate post. Let me know if you can't see it.
