This is Vcarved from a scanned line drawing that is on the church's Sunday Services bulletin. I was asked to reproduce it in wood by a church member who will give it to the church's pastor. She wanted no text on the front, just the image. I put the name of the church on the back, who it was made by, and December 2018. It has a keyhole on the back side near the top center, and a hole for a wooden peg near the bottom center for display on a table top. It can also be displayed on a folding picture frame holder. The size is 11.25" wide by 13.5" high by 0.75" thick red oak.

This will be delivered tomorrow.

Thanks to all.

This was carved a few thousandths too deep, but I sanded certain places with fine sandpaper to bring back some flat spots that recovered some of the details. Sometimes it's hard to get the depth setting just right when there is a slight bow in the surface of the wood.

It looks really great!

For something that fine of detail, you should always surface your board first before you carve. The board needs to be perfectly flat!
