Just finished this yesterday.
4 inch, maple, clear coat.
.125 ball nose bit.
Took about 1/2 hr. to cut.
Sure like doing 3D images.

That model was one of my first's, and still love it!
When I! showed it...some smart aleck here said;

OLD MAN LINSEED WAX 1 LIGHT COAT.jpg

Personally think it's my face when I look in a mirror when I first wake up and realize I ain't a young pup anymore:)

Nice Mark!

Thanks Mark:)
I have NO sense of Forum etiquette, as only ever been active on this and Shopbot's forum.
Sometimes uncultured and hijack a thread like THIS :)

WONDERFUL look Jimmy D!!
I THINK I know how you jigged up that piece of Eastern White Cedar(?)(Juniper), BUT do you mind going into how you prepped and jigged the "Scrap:)" up?
My "Plow" guy also runs a tree service, and may be doing a Topo for him in exchange for Burls and interesting branches.
I LOVE using "Scrap"!
(virtually no such thing as scrap wood for me:)
My version started out as a scrap from a proto Cribbage Board, and only finished the S2S after I liked the cut so much.
I was just a beginner back then, and used an Offset toolpath as I would have SWORN it started at the tip of his Nose....WRONG!
Started just below his nose, and startled me on the first Plunge!! :)
