Fish Sign

Post by scottart »

I got an order for a group of small signs for some Alaskan lodges last week. one of the cabin signs was to feature an Arctic Grayling on the sign, and the words " Grayling cabin". I have made models for lots of Alaska critters, but this was the first Grayling. So i created the grayling in Aspire Friday evening, and got the customers approval by Saturday morning for the sign. Carved the piece by 1:00 pm, and had it painted ready for the varnish room by 4:00. Part of the reason I love working with Aspire is that ideas go from concept to reality pretty dang fast. This is not a complicated design, but easy money in my book.

JOeporter

sounds like you need "INSPIRE" software.

I say just pull up your favorite picture drop it in Aspire and see if you can create a model.............. the rest will follow. let me know if I can help..

Funny enough there was an "Inspire Software" quite a few years ago now, signmaking software by Scanvec prior to Flexisign

Scott love looking at the work you post, keep up the good work

Thanks for the offer to help, Scott. It's just sorryness on my part, I know I have to do projects that may not turn out at first, but that is how you learn. When I was a kid, I was fairly good at drawing, but it was always copying a picture already done. I just have to get off my behind and start back to work....joe
