I need a little help with projecting my Alvis text and triangle onto a domed piece of Aluminum.
I only need to carve 3/4mm deep but I want to ensure even depth on the workpiece.
I.m using the 'Project vector' onto the workpiece but it's not working for me. Clearly I've missed the point.
I would appreciate any help.
Many thanks

Re: Help with Project to Surface
Many thanks for your reply,
Can you help with the process you followed and what is the best tool to use considering I only want to go 30 to 40 thou deep.
I created a component from a circled and then applied a 10 degree dome to it,
I then created my toolpath and mapped the log to the surface.
Also, I need the reverse of what you have shown. Please see pic attached.
Many thanks
George

Re: Help with Project to Surface
You need to shrink the logo a little and then put an off-set vector (3-4mm) around the triangle. That provides the needed second vector to do the V-carve. Try a 90 deg V-bit.
