Looking for a name sign for a boat

Post by toymaker »

Hi
I remember seeing a rather decorative name sign for a ship or a boat. I think it was on this forum but I´m not sure. It had some decorative swirls at both ends and a blue bottom for the text which was guilded(as I remember it), it might have been an old sign that was replicated with Aspire. Is there anyone that have an idea of what I´m talking about and have a clue of where I could find a picture?

thanks
Christer

They are known as "quarterboards". Google that and you will get a raft of info

Thanks I didn´t know they were called quarterboards, however I didn´t find the one I were looking for, I belive that the original was handcarved and that someone had replicated it with aspire. I don´t remember the name of the boat either.
I´m looking for the design, if someone´s already made it in aspire it would be fine, but otherwise I would gladly give it a shot myself . I need at least a picture as don´t remember anything else than that liked the design.
