Here is a project I just finished today.
2 sided sign, Front and back panels are 1" HDU, has a 1/2" PVC Core.
The bracket was made by a local wrought iron artist.
And the Owl was made by another metal artist in the area.
It was a fun project and came together well.

I like!
You're a wise man putting outriggers on your bracket. I've seen so many without them gradually loosen over time from the wind.

Yes indeed, this is a must, specially on these old brick buildings. The problem is most premanufactured brackets don't have them. I've learned my lesson well on one I bought a few years ago. Every wind storm I got a call from the client. I took their bracket (one they bought) and had the extra support welded to it. No problems since.T.R.MacMunn wrote:I like!

Beautiful job! The textured background is very subtle but really adds a lot to the piece!

Really good looking sign. I think the bracket also really classes it up.

What are you doing in the second picture with the brush? Do you do you're own painting? Any tips?

Yes, I do all the painting on the signs to finish them.Win Brayer wrote:What are you doing in the second picture with the brush? Do you do you're own painting? Any tips?
For the small text on these signs I find that using the foam brushes with a small amount of paint on the edge of the brush works well. Takes about 2-3 coats depending on colors.
As far as tips, that's a book to be written, and I'm still learning new tips.
You just gotta dive into a project and find what works.
Best tips, foam brushes and foam rollers.
