This is to show one of my latest projects that I completed using Aspire, This is a Lithophane of Sophus Falck, he is the father and founder of the happy family that I am working for ... Falck http://www.falck.com
The editing of the picture took some time, it was very grainy and not suited for a lithophanes, I received the picture of the ’R’ button on his uniform from Falck museum in Denmark as a sample text that I wanted to carve on the frame, I did not found a font to match the ‘R’ I decided to create my own font based on the ‘R’ so the font to carve the letters is all my work.
Top of the frame is carved REDNINGSKORPSET (rescue corps)
1) Material: bright white solid surface material, thickness 6mm max carve depth 5.33mm finish size 473mm x 293mm
2) 60 deg V bit http://www.cmtutensili.com/show_items.a ... ~7/8/958~2 no rough pass, direct finish path
3) Wood - beech light
4) Frame size 420mm x 604mm x 25mm
5) Rough pass 6mm ball end
6) Finish Pass 2mm ball end
Time spend on this project ---- way to much to be profitable

Re: Sophus Lithophane
I have never cut a lithopane but if I ever did I would hope it came out as nice as this! A very well executed project...all the way around.
