Hi Al, awesome project.

I've joined the Vectric Forum specifically to get in touch with you.
Unfortunately I cannot send PM's yet so I'll stick my kneck out here.

I am building a 1/6th Early Tiger with full 9 Channel Radio Control including; full Turret Rotation/Elevation, Full control of Speed & a working PaintBall Gun as Armament.

I'm having a few problems with the design of Tracks/Drive Wheels etc. and I was originally thinking of using Bicycle Chain, as per here; http://www.rctankcombat.com/articles/track-systems/ but viewing your Model got me thinking, would it be possible to Machine the Drive Wheels & Tracks from Alloy, and the Sprockets from Steel?

Yes, they could be machined in Alum or steel. If you can Cnc the parts then anything is possable. If you can cast Alum in molds made from Cnc'ed wooden parts, it would even be better and easier to make all 24 each wheels. I think for a R/C sized model, sprocket could be made from Alum also and be ok but the steel will hold up better over the long run.
