Melamine Cupboard door 2 of 7
Poseidon model size 320x210x16mm Yellowheart TBN 1/16 Feed rate 120ipm plunge 90ipm cutting time 5:30
Ran out of wall space in my shop to display my "masterpieces" haha... some of the old cupboard doors were available.
Melamine is very unforgiving !!
My workflow as follows, cover the door with contact paper cut out the size of the timber it be carved, I use Titebond melamine glue, and it works well.
The tricky part is getting the door flat on the cnc bed, my Z zero is off the door and I can get it within .005mm around the model, even so there is glue left behind and requires scraping with a chisel and metho for residue clean up.
Looking forward to door 3 which is a Mermaid.
