Birdhouses continued a two sided project
Create your own toolpath files for your machine
To prevent tear-out,especially in wood like cedar and redwood, make all cross-grain cuts first
These houses are designed to be cut from 5/8" thick material (LIMITED BY CUTTING DEPTH OF A 1.5" V-BIT) and pole mounted, for hanging you could move the roof back or make it longer
Same as 3A but 10" x 36" board
Found the V-bit on Amazon, good job for the price.

Re: BIRDHOUSES CONTINUED A TWO SIDED PROJECT
For those that downloaded the inline file, there are a few changes/additions that need to be made.
In the process of copying them I mistakenly copied parts from two different houses.
Back wall profile cutout was set to on, should be inside. (Makes wall 1/8" too tall)
Missing Toolpaths: (Remember to create your own tool paths for your machine)
Foundation groove side walls
Bird hole pocket
Guide pin holes
Mounting hole

Very nice. Thank you for the files. Tip: Don't use cedar (aromatic type) to store your skittles.

Wow, birdhouses are a lot different than the ones we built as kids! Cut some "boards" with a hand saw, nail them together, drill a hole and slap some paint on them. They rotted away in a few years, so you made some more.
Dale, do you really hang those fine looking birdhouses outside for the birds?

They are really outside for the birds that use them all year. Most are inhabited as soon as they become available especially in times of snow and cold.

Just a reminder, check your tool paths, it is really easy to get profile cuts on the wrong side of or on the line. Been there done that more than once. Often it is an easy fix with the table or miter saw.
